Qopy

Qopy is a fixed clipboard manager designed as a simple alternative to the standard clipboard in Windows. It aims to provide a smoother, more reliable experience. Plus, it’s compatible with Linux, so you can enjoy the same great features on both operating systems.

This project mainly came to life because back then I was still using Windows 11 microslop and if we’re completly honest the built in clipboard manager is awful. You can’t search, it only stores like the last 50 things you copied and there is practically no metadata which comes back to search reliablilty.

As you may have already noticed Qopy is very much inspired by Raycast’s clipboard manager but since it didn’t have a windows version back then and I couldn’t find any other apps nearly as neatly designed I had to make my own.

But since May of 2025 I have stopped using Windows and have instead switched to the great Arch Linux where I now use Vicinae so Qopy has gotten no attention from me since then and it probably never will.
